Real-Link Security Patrol System is welcomed by Security Companies

Since November 2009, Nova Epos have been marketing the Real-Link proof of attendance solution to the security industry with great success in being an effective security patrols system. Real-Link is a real-time proof of attendance system that uses Near Field Communication (NFC) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID technology).

Using a NFC enabled mobile phone, an employee needs to only touch a pre-positioned tag point to prove where they have been and when. Using GPRS the data is sent back to the server immediately, enabling managers to view this in real-time via a web based log-in.

This functionality is proving to be extremely useful for security patrols systems. They place RFID tags at certain points around static and mobile sites and the security guard is equipped with the NFC phone. When he is patrolling, he simply touches the tag with the phone to prove he has been there. Use Real-Link to help ensure that location-specific checks are performed correctly

As many of our customers will already be aware, Real-Link is an excellent tool for providing proof of attendance which also helps to ensure that location-specific checks are performed. Whether you need to see that security guards are performing their patrols when they should be or that cleaners are checking toilets every hour, Real-Link does this effortlessly. In addition to proof of attendance, Real-Link can also be used for data capture such as filling in forms and sending instructions and this can be specific for each location if required.

The majority of our customers use Real-Link with RFID tags that need to be scanned (although it can be used with barcodes or GPS). Once a tag is scanned a menu of options appears on the phone. Nova Epos kept busy at the Hotel, Catering & Retail Show

On March 14th and 15th Nova Epos exhibited at the Hotel, Catering and Retail show at the Bournemouth International Centre. Demonstrating a number of products including Real-Link, Sharp EPOS systems and Zapper, Nova Epos were kept busy with many inquiries from establishments including hotels, coffee shops, restaurants, tourist attractions and education providers.

The Real-Link demonstration was primarily aimed at hotels but many potential customers could see how it could be used across their businesses including restaurants, bars and entertainment venues. Real-Link is ideal for many different types of business.

In hotels, it can be used for security and noise patrols, cleaning inspections, mini bar checks, fire door checks and many more. Other businesses were interested in using Real-Link for opening and closing checks, toilet checks and other inspections performed normally with paper. The real-time aspect of the system and the automated reports means that all of these checks can be performed quicker with less time spent organising and analysing the data.

DataSIM have become a new SIM card supplier for Nova Epos. The beauty of the DataSIM card is that it has the ability to roam over different networks to find the best signal.

With data roaming activated on the device, the DataSIM can attach to the strongest network. This is a great benefit to our Real-Link customers, particularly in more rural locations where signal strength can be poor, or in built-up areas where signal strength is often patchy.

Providing 10mb of data per month it is an ideal and economical solution for data only needs, such as required for our real time data capture software solutions, with the addition of voice and SMS messaging if required.
